i wrote you a letter
to tell you all the things
i couldn't say.

then tore it up
and threw it away.

your words used to
keep me warm.
now your silence
slices me.

they say
time heals all wounds.

yet here i sit
cold
with pink scars.

and a trash can
full of letters to you.
